Boxer Dog Training

If so, then it is very important that he receives the necessary training he needs. Unlike other dogs, boxers are not a high maintenance breed. Boxers are quite lively and very vigorous dogs. If you want him to behave, you have to make sure he gets enough exercise. As far as training goes, a positive enforcement method such as treat training can work well with your boxer dog. Boxers are generally patient with smaller dogs and puppies, but issues with larger adult dogs, especially those of the same sex, may occur. Boxers are usually more comfortable with companionship, in either human or canine form. This breed if dog is extremely loyal. Boxers are genuinely a lovable family dog and make a great pet for anyone.

Boxers are calm dogs that will usually not bark without cause. They are of a medium-build and strong breed of dog that got its name from its habit of standing on the hind legs to begin a fight and boxing with the front paws. Boxer dogs are working dogs. Throughout history it has been trained as seeing-eye dogs, police dogs, seeing-eye dogs, hunting dogs, and guard dogs.

Training A New Puppy

Before you start any coaching, you’ll want to be sure your pet is healthy. There’s nothing worse then repeatedly disciplining your puppy for peeing in the house and then finding out they’ve got a kidney or bladder infection. The key to housebreaking your dog is close supervision. You want to catch your pet right before or in the act of their mistake so you can right away say, ah ah and take them outside or on to their paper.

Having treats and heaps of praise prepared for when then do go will also speed up the method of your puppy’s learning. Always reward your puppy when they do well. When your pet starts to go to the toilet outside you wish to have a word that you’ll say. This way your dog will start to associate your command with the act of going to the toilet. Finally your dog will be ready to go on command, this will come in truly handy in winter when it’s cold and you need your pet to speed up a bit. Just be patient with your puppy and give him lots of love and attention and he’ll eventually learn to go at the proper time and in the proper place. You can have lot’s of fun training a new puppy if you want to.
